DRUG SEIZURES

1. Members of the Drug Squad arrested and formally charged Peter Johnson Cox 30 years of Montrose, Christ Church and Paul Antonio Romero 32 years of Silver Hill, Christ Church each with the offences of:

1. Possession of 30.5 lbs of Cannabis;
2. Possession with intent to supply;
3. Trafficking; and
4. Importation.

About 12:50 pm on Saturday July 26th, 2014, members of the Drug Squad intercepted a vehicle owned by Grenadines Airlines on the ABC Highway in which Cox and Romero, both employees of Airline, were travelling in. A search of the vehicle revealed a green haversack containing 16 packages of cannabis weighing 30.5 lbs. They were the only occupants.

Cox and Romero made an appearance at the District B Magistrates Court on Monday July 28th 2014.

He was arrested and charged with the offences of:

1. Possession of Cannabis;
2. Possession with intent to supply;
3. Trafficking; and
4. Cultivation.

3. Members of the Drug Squad on Sunday July 27th 2014 executed a search warrant at the residence of Corrie Toppin, 35 years of Chapel #7, St. Philip and 2 lbs of cannabis was discovered at his residence.

He was arrested and charged with the offences of:

1. Possession of cannabis
2. Trafficking; and
3. Possession with intent to supply cannabis.

Thorne and Toppin made an appearance at the District C Magistrates Court on Monday July 28th, 2014.
