The new offices of the Diabetes Association of Barbados (DAB) now boast highly visible signage thanks to the donation of a new, double-sided, reflective sign by Global Directories/Barbados Yellow Pages.

Recently erected at the DAB’s office located at Beckles Road in St. Michael, it is hoped the signage will assist in raising the profile and visibility of the Association, which has been working assiduously to raise local awareness about the dangers and treatment of Diabetes.
Kenrick Corbin, Public Relations Officer of the DAB thanked Global Directories/Barbados Yellow Pages for its timely donation:
“When we first moved into our Beckles Road office a few years ago, we had an issue where our sign was only visible from one direction and was easily missed. With this new reflective double-sided sign, key information such as our opening hours and contact numbers are now clearly visible to passersby during the day and at night.”
, Marketing Manager of Global Directories/Barbados Yellow Pages, said this is yet another one of the company’s efforts to assist local associations with the development of their various programmes:
“With recent statistics indicating 15.6 per cent of Barbadians over age 25 are diabetic, the DAB provides an invaluable service to over 30,000 affected by the disease in Barbados. We are extremely pleased to be able to offer them assistance through the provision of new signage and encourage the organisation to continue its good work.”
