Not so long ago, had a survey about manners and it was noted that, “…adults were not consistently doing what was right and setting good examples for {young people} to follow.”

I had a reminder today this is very true. Another digression before the main story is approached, when making comments at Free Press or Underground, especially when scoring a  truth no one likes to genuinely acknowledge, detractors more often than not will go on about my weight.

I know I am overweight and it does not bother me, my wife is full figured and my parents are chubby too – we’re all large, get over it. You don’t like it? Don’t look my way… I recall going into S.Y. Adams looking for a belt about 19 months ago, and no luck – and then one of the cashiers looks at me and says I need to lose weight, oh? So then I got two custom made at BMEX in 2009, and the High Street branch loses money via rudeness & I don’t return in any hurry either.

I realise I have more Dress or Work Shirts than Casual and decide to give them a second chance, and one of their attendants (you realise I have not described the offenders in any of the cases, I’d be considered possibly racial – since in both cases the transgressors were neither black, white nor mixed Barbadians, hey, even their Nationality may be in question here) says I am too big for their shirts?

NISE learned from teenagers that - "...adults do not practise what we preach..." and this means manners, which appears to be very true at S. Y. Adam & Son

I was wearing a genuine Nautica 4X blue aloha shirt and they have imitation Old Navy, POLO, etc. which CLAIM to be 4X and that might be true if Tom Thumb or the average Oriental person was to use S.Y. Adam’s product… But I did not curse her nor be abusive, I just ask a series of simple questions;-

  • You want me to spend money here?

She nods her head.

  • You want me to return and buy even more, right?

More nodding.

  • You think that’s gonna happen if you give me comments like what you just made?

BIG PAUSE – “Um, noooo?

So I said as I started to walk out of the place that she needs to think about that before making similar comments in future and her face now looks like she was about to cry. I letting her know now she needs to cry, since I am advising Barbados if you had any similar episodes at that business, then do not shop there! Rudeness and crappy products with improper labelling? You want me to come back? I must be on drugs!

dont blame you man. I’m firmly of the belief that if the service is undesirable dont shop there again.
